Dominic Solanke and Destiny Udogie have both fired Tottenham messages ahead of the huge Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool tonight. Lucas Bergvall's goal sees Spurs take a one-goal lead up to Anfield with Ange Postecoglou hoping to be boosted by two new signings.

Antonin Kinsky, Tottenham's first January window addition, kept a clean sheet on his debut against the Reds and, although several players are expected to be absent through injury, there are no fresh concerns - and both Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso could feature.

"In terms of availability from last week, everyone is fine and got through okay," Postecoglou admitted in a press conference. "So no issues there. Kevin [Danso] and Mathys [Tel] are both available.

"They have trained and are cleared to play so they are all good."

Micky van de Ven, despite returning last Thursday night, has been ruled out by the Spurs boss with Cristian Romero also still out even though he was spotted in training last month. "With Micky, and Romero to a certain extent, I kind of feel we have to be a bit more conservative with them," he added.

"Micky got through the game alright, but I don't think he feels ready for that step up to the Premier League, the intensity of it. Same with Romero." James Maddison, Timo Werner, Guglielmo Vicario and Brennan Johnson are all edging closer to being back available.

Radu Dragusin, meanwhile, has joined Wilson Odobert as a long-term absentees with Spurs confirming he would require surgery after picking up a knee injury against Elfsborg in the Europa League. Solanke and Udogie are both still unavailable, also, but it appears both are very excited to watch their teammates this evening.

Via Instagram stories, the duo reposted an official graphic posted by the Carabao Cup and Tottenham promoting the fixture, which gets underway at 8pm on Merseyside.

With so many players still absent, Postecoglou naming an unchanged starting XI that performed so well in the 2-0 win against Brentford last weekend is entirely possible. As for Liverpool, Arne Slot will be without Trent Alexander-Arnold after he picked up a minor thigh injury against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
