Dominik Szoboszlai ruled out of next Liverpool game after 'soft' Leicester decision
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is set to miss the Reds clash against West Ham on Sunday after picking up a one-game suspension on Thursday.
The Hungarian midfielder entered Liverpool's 3-1 victory over Leicester City in the 77th minute and picked up a booking just three minutes later.
The offense was Szoboszlai's fifth through the season's first 19 games, triggering an automatic one-game ban. Head coach Arne Slot may have opted to rest him for the Leicester match in an effort to avoid this outcome.

Now, the Dutch manager may elect to start English midfielder Curtis Jones once again as the "number 10" for Sunday's clash against the Hammers - Jones and Szobozslai have mostly rotated at the position this year.
Jones once again put in a fine performance, scoring the go-ahead goal in the 48th minute to cap off an impressive move. The Liverpool-born 23-year-old completed 36/39 passes, won three tackles, and logged 53 touches in yet another all-action displayed before he was substituted in the 77th minute.
Jones is up to three goals and an assist in the Premier League. He figured to rotate with Sozobszlai plenty over a festive period that sees Liverpool face the following fixtures (bottom of the article).
If Slot wishes to rest Jones, he could elect to feature Diogo Jota in the hole and Darwin Nunez up front. Or, the Dutch manager can play Luis Diaz up front with Cody Gakpo preferred at left wing.
Slot could elect to play Alexis Mac Allister - who had two assists against Leicester - at the 10 with Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo in a two-man pivot.
The Reds manager may even choose to draft Harvey Elliot into the XI in a more central role, though his being left-footed may complicate the puzzle.
