EA FC 25 upgrade makes Mohamed Salah best in the world as Liverpool handed big boosts
Liverpool's fantastic form has seen them rewarded with some huge EA FC 25 upgrades, with Mohamed Salah being upgraded to the highest-rated player in the game.
After the 2023/24 season, Liverpool's EA FC 25 player ratings saw some of the biggest Reds stars not given upgrades, with Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold all remaining the same ratings as the past year. But, past the halfway point of the 2024/25 season, Liverpool are top of the Premier League, won the Champions League League Phase and are in the Carabao Cup final, with EA Sports taking note and handing Arne Slot some huge EA FC 25 upgrades, not for the first time this season.
In the latest EA FC 25 squad update that went live in-game earlier this month, six Liverpool players have been handed upgrades, while a few have also been downgraded, including Federico Chiesa who has struggled for regular game time since arriving on Merseyside.

The biggest upgrade to the Liverpool squad in the latest update has been given to Salah, with the winger receiving his second rating upgrade since EA FC 25's release, giving him a rating of 91 overall to become the joint-highest-rated player in the game. Only Manchester City's Rodri (91) and Barcelona Women's Aitana Bonmati (91) currently share this rating, with Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe both dropping to 90 overall.
Salah has also received a +1 upgrade to his Ball Control (89) and Potential Rating (91), while he's also been given the Whipped Cross and First Touch PlayStyles.
Van Dijk has also been given a rating upgrade to 90, making him the second-highest-rated player in EA FC 25. The Dutchman has been given more stat upgrades than Salah including +1 Heading Accuracy (88), +2 Reactions (90), +2 Interceptions (90), +1 Marking (91) and +1 Sliding Tackle (87).
Konate has been given his second rating upgrade of the year with the Frenchman now rated 85 overall, while 10 of his stats have also improved, including +6 Long Passing (76). He's also been given the Bruiser PlayStyle Plus, meaning he's judged by EA to be one of the strongest players in world football.
One of the most-improved players in EA FC 25, just like in real life, is Ryan Gravenberch, with the Dutchman receiving yet another upgrade to 83 overall. The midfielder began EA FC 25 at 78 rated, so he's increased by five ratings in total so far.
And, after hitting some great form in recent weeks, Cody Gakpo has also been handed an upgrade, with the Dutchman 84-rated. Diogo Jota was downgraded from 85 to 84 while Chiesa was dropped from 83 to 82, with the latter also seeing 10 of his in-game stats decrease.
Elsewhere, there were some minor changes made to the Liverpool squad, with Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley losing the Block PlayStyle, Alexis Mac Allister gaining the Block PlayStyle, and Luis Diaz gained the striker role familiarity.
