Eagle-eyed Liverpool fans spot Curtis Jones APOLOGISING to Mo Salah after Eden Hazard controversy
Curtis Jones attempted to clear the air with Liverpool fans after appearing to APOLOGISE to Mo Salah in Tuesday night's 2-1 win over Lille.
The playmaker, 23, landed himself in hot water with the Anfield faithful during the week when he declared that Chelsea legend Eden Hazard was a "better footballer" than Salah. But Jones was back in the good books last night after assisting the Egyptian King's first-half opener as the table-topping Reds sealed their place in the Champions League last 16 with a game to spare.
And the England midfielder wasted no time in joining his superstar teammate on the hoardings in a sit-down celebration. However, eagle-eyed fans spotted Jones pointing towards the goalscoring sensation and raising his hands in what appeared to be an apology gesture.

One said: "Curtis says sorry to Salah. He accepts Hazard can’t even do this." Another commented: "Bro really said sorry to Salah." While a third pointed out: "Goal is entirely made by Jones’ absolutely inch perfect pass."
Jones then hauled Salah - who netted his 50th European goal for the club - to his feet and theatrically pointed at Liverpool's jewel as the Kop lapped up a seventh consecutive Euro triumph for Arne Slot's pacesetters.
