East Kilbride star Euan Ferrie lands Scotland call-up for Six Nations
East Kilbride star Euan Ferrie has received a late call-up to the Scotland Six Nations squad ahead of Saturday’s opener against Italy at Murrayfield.
The uncapped 23-year-old joins fellow former Calderglen High School pupil Jonny Gray in the squad. Ferrie was a member of the URC winning Glasgow Warriors squad last season and has previously trained with the national team.
Flanker/lock Ferrie started his career at East Kilbride Rugby Club before playing for Hamilton Bulls and Glasgow Hawks. He turned professional in 2021.

East Kilbride Rugby Club shared their pride at Ferrie's call-up on social media, posting: "A massive congratulations to EK academy graduate Euan Ferrie, who has been called up to Scotland’s 6 Nations squad
"Well done Euan from everyone at EK!"
Scotland kick-off the campaign at 2.15pm on Saturday, before hosting Ireland on Sunday, February 9. The Scots will then look to defend the Calcutta Cup at Twickenham on February 22 and then host Wales on March 8.
Gregor Townsends' men will close out the campaign with a tricky trip to Paris to face France on the night of March 15.
