EASTLEIGH have signed strikers Jesurun Uchegbulam and Rekeil Pyke on loan until the end of the Vanarama National League campaign.

Uchegbulam, 24, arrives from fellow National League side Oldham Athletic, where he has made 19 appearances this season, scoring twice.

Born in, Nigeria, Uchegbulam grew up in Italy and joined AC Milan’s youth academy at the age of seven before moving to the North West of England where he impressed with Mossley and Matlock Town.

He attracted interest from Chesterfield, making the move into the National League at the age of 21 before he joined Rochdale in the summer of 2023.

After making 30 league appearances for the Greater Manchester side during the 2023/24 season, the attacker moved to fellow National League outfit, Oldham Athletic.

He now comes down to Hampshire with a wealth of National League experience. He has made over 80 appearances in the division.

Upon joining the Spitfires, Uchegbulam said: “I’m delighted to be here. I spoke to the gaffer, and I know a few players here. So yeah, I’m delighted to be here.”

Pyke, 27, joins from League Two play-off hopefuls Grimsby Town, where he has made just eight appearances this season, scoring no goals.

The forward came up through the ranks at Huddersfield Town and spent 11 years with the club, before making his Championship debut against Fulham in 2020.

During his time with the Terriers, he was loaned to Wrexham. He made 26 league appearances for the Welsh side across two spells.

In 2020, he made his first permanent move, joining Shrewsbury. He made 65 League One appearances across his three years at the club.

Since then, Pyke has been with Grimsby Town and played in the same team as Niall Maher during the 2023/24 season.

Upon joining the Spitfires, Pyke said: “I spoke to the gaffer and what he said to me made me interested. I've made the right decision coming here.

"I can play multiple positions but I prefer being higher up, attacking. I just want to help the team as much as possible to get in the play-offs or get promoted.”

The duo could make their Spitfires debut on Saturday afternoon when Kelvin Davis' side visit Sutton United.
