Ebou Adams insists he’s “not worried at all” about Derby County’s losing run which has seen them slide towards the Championship relegation zone.

The Rams have lost their last four league matches to slip down to 19th in the table. They are one point above the drop zone ahead of facing Sunderland at Pride Park on Tuesday night (7:45pm).

Their dismal January form also includes exiting the FA Cup to League One Leyton Orient on penalties. But Adams said: “The performances have been there. If we take our chances, then it can turn.

“If we weren’t making any good chances and if we had zero shots, then I'd be worried. I'm not worried at all.

“We're pushing. We're getting good chances. If we just take our moments and defend the box and attack the box well, then things will start turning in our favour.”

New January striker signing Lars-Jorgen Salvesen could feature against Sunderland after boss Paul Warne resisted any temptation to throw him in against Watford on Saturday, just three days after his arrival at Pride Park from Viking FK.

Reflecting on the 2-0 loss to the Hornets, Adams added: “It's a tough one to take. I feel the performance doesn't resemble the result.

“We had very good chances. We hit the crossbar a few times, the post and Jerry (Yates) had a great chance earlier on. If we can put them away then we can win the game handsomely.

“However, Watford scoring did take a little dagger to the heart. Football is a game of moments. They took their moments, we didn't take ours.”
