Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has confessed he's 'not a fan' of Kai Havertz despite the German's recent pivotal performances for the Gunners. Havertz, who netted another vital goal in Arsenal's thrilling 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, has been a key player for Mikel Arteta's side as they lead the Premier League by a slender margin over Manchester City.

Adebayor acknowledged Havertz's successful adaptation and contributions but expressed his reservations about the forward's style of play. "He has adapted well, but I am not a big fan of the player, to be honest," said Adebayor.

"He isn't that strong and when you are playing up front for a team like Arsenal."

The Togolese footballer highlighted the importance of strength and intelligence in leading the line for a top club. Despite his critique, Adebayor did not deny Havertz's skill with the ball at his feet.

"First and foremost, you have to be strong and you have to be clever. He's a very good player with the feet.", reports the Mirror.

Adebayor also touched on the fickle nature of football fandom, where players are often judged by their most recent performances. "Football is a game, whenever you score, you are the hero and when you don't score, then you are the villain. If he doesn't score and Arsenal ends up losing, then the fans won't be happy about it."

However, he conceded that Havertz's current form could cement his status as a hero if he continues to deliver goals and victories for Arsenal. "But if he manages to score a goal and get a win for his team, as he is doing at the end of the season for his team, then he will be the hero."

Despite Arsenal's position at the top, Adebayor still sees Pep Guardiola's Manchester City as the favourites to win the title, especially with a game in hand.

Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has cast doubt on the Gunners' title credentials, suggesting they may not be able to maintain their form for the remainder of the season. Speaking on Premier League Productions, he said: "Anything is possible with Arsenal because we all know how good they can play. This team is very young and very talented. But am I sure they're going to get nine points? I'm not sure. Anything can happen. We saw a couple of weeks ago they lost at home to Aston Villa."

He added: "Whereas if you ask me can Man City win their next 20 games I would say yes because they have proved they can do it. Arsenal are looking better and stronger but I'm not sure they are going to win their last three games."
