England v Scotland, Six Nations 2025: What time is kick-off today and what TV channel is it on?
England will play Scotland today at Twickenham in their third game of the 2025 Six Nations Championship.
Steve Borthwick’s side revived their Six Nations title hopes after Elliot Daly’s converted final-minute try snatched a 26-25 victory against France in round two.
England finally showed the composure and skill needed to close out a winning position after a year of near-misses, with Daly’s score ending a run of seven successive defeats against top-tier opposition.
Scotland, meanwhile, lost 32-18 against Ireland in the second round of the championship. Ireland blew away their hosts and secured a mightily impressive bonus-point victory at Murrayfield. Find out the latest team news here.

Also on the schedule for the third weekend of the Six Nations is Wales v Ireland, at 2.15pm on Saturday, and Italy v France at 3pm on Sunday.

At Twickenham, or, as it is officially known, the Allianz Stadium. This will be England’s first Test against Scotland since the name change with some fans refusing to call the home of English rugby by its new moniker.
How to watch England v Scotland on TV?
It will be on ITV1. The BBC and ITV will once again share coverage of the Six Nations in the UK.
Who is the referee?
Frenchman Pierre Brousset will be taking charge of his first Six Nations match. The 35-year-old would have made his championship debut last year but injury ruled him out of whistling Ireland v Italy. Brousset refereed in last year’s Rugby Championship and the Autumn Nations Series.
“I tell myself that if I’ve reached this level, it’s because of my convictions and my personality,” said Brousset last year. “Of course, there’s no such thing as the perfect match. You can always evolve, always find things to change in the way you referee, in the way you manage the match. But I think the guiding principle should be the same, whether it’s a Pro D2 match or an international match.”
What is the team news?
England
England have been forced into a late change ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations clash with Scotland, with George Martin suffering a recurrence of a knee injury and “superman” Ted Hill called onto the bench.
Martin had been dropped to the bench for club-mate Ollie Chessum but the lock was unable to train on Thursday morning and Hill has been called onto the bench to win his third cap.
Nominally a flanker, the Bath forward will cover second row on Saturday as England look to end a run of four straight Calcutta Cup defeats. Maro Itoje, England’s captain, has been impressed by the 25-year-old.
“He is a player I have admired for a number of years, seeing him do his thing at Worcester and then at Bath,” Itoje said. “In his last stint with England I also played with him there. He is a supreme athlete. He looks like Clark Kent and Superman with his glasses. He is a man carved out of Greek stone. I am very happy that I hopefully get an opportunity to play with him.”
This is not the first time that Martin has suffered a knee injury which has precluded him from either England duty or playing for his club, Leicester Tigers. Last season, he told Telegraph Sport that he had visited the United States for advice from the same rehabilitation guru used by golfer Tiger Woods. Regardless, Richard Wigglesworth, England’s senior assistant coach, played down any long-term fears.
“No, it isn’t [a big concern],” Wigglesworth said. “Just because the nature of these ones are bangs, rather than it being anything structural. No, not concerned. George is incredibly diligent, getting to know his body more and more. You guys watch him, you know what he puts himself through, so naturally after the Test match, as we’ve seen with a few other countries this weekend, a few guys picked up a bang.
“The way he plays, we want him to be able to rip in as he does, and if we’ve got any risk of that, then we’ve got Ted and we’re pleased to put him in. He’s got a different set of super-strengths to George Martin, but we’ll expect him to bring the best of him when he comes on. Ted’s been training at lock for a fair while in terms of scrummaging in there and jumping roles.”
England XV: M Smith; Freeman, Lawrence, Slade, Sleightholme; F Smith, Mitchell; Genge, Cowan-Dickie, Stuart, Itoje (capt), Chessum, T Curry, Earl, Willis.
Replacements: George, Baxter, Heyes, Hill, Cunningham-South, B Curry, Randall, Daly.
Scotland
Scotland co-captain Finn Russell has been passed fit for Saturday’s Calcutta Cup match but fellow back Darcy Graham misses out.
The key duo were doubts for the showdown at Twickenham after colliding with each other and being forced off with head injuries in the first half of the defeat by Ireland.
Bath stand-off Russell has been able to recover in time and pass the concussion protocols to be named at No 10.
But Graham, who came off worst in the clash between the pair and was taken to hospital as a precaution, has not been deemed fit enough for inclusion in the 23.
The Edinburgh wing has been replaced by Glasgow’s Kyle Rowe in the only change to Scotland’s backline from the side that lost 32-18 to the Irish.
There are two changes to the Scottish pack, with Edinburgh pair Pierre Schoeman and Jamie Ritchie taking over from Glasgow duo Rory Sutherland and Matt Fagerson in the front row and back row respectively.
Sutherland and Fagerson both drop to the bench where they are joined by fellow forwards Ewan Ashman, Will Hurd, Sam Skinner and Gregor Brown in a 6-2 split.
Glasgow duo Jamie Dobie and Stafford McDowall – who both played more than half of the Ireland game after coming on for Graham and Russell – are again the two replacement backs as Gregor Townsend’s side head to Twickenham bidding to win the Calcutta Cup for the fifth year in succession.
Scotland XV: Kinghorn, Rowe, Jones, Jordan, Van der Merwe, Russell (co-captain), White; Schoeman, Cherry, Z Fagerson, Gray, Gilchrist, Ritchie, Darge (co-captain), Dempsey.
Replacements: Ashman, Sutherland, Hurd, Skinner, Brown, M Fagerson, Dobie, McDowall.
