Enzo Maresca already has Alejandro Garnacho alternative amid Chelsea transfer interest
The last couple of days of the transfer window are set to be busy for Chelsea, who are looking to bring in at least one player before the deadline.
One of the areas under consideration is on the left wing. As reported by football.london last month, the Blues are scouring the transfer market for a left-sided winger with the future of Mykhailo Mudryk uncertain. The Ukraine international is unavailable for selection at the moment following a failed drugs test in December.
Three names that have been heavily linked are Mathys Tel, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho. There has been plenty of speculation surrounding Tel in recent days with reports from Germany claiming earlier in the week that he wanted to leave Bayern Munich before the deadline. However, contrasting reports have emerged more recently stating that the 19-year-old wants to remain in Munich after talks with Tottenham.

A move for Tel, who is a long-term target for Chelsea, is deemed difficult now with the player wanting to stay with the Bundesliga leaders. Another option is Garnacho, who is very much of interest to the Blues. Manchester United braced themselves for an offer from Chelsea last month but talks started to slow down.
With a move for Tel now very tricky, Chelsea could look to revisit the Garnacho situation with United reportedly open to selling the 20-year-old Argentine as they look to comply with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules. In the final two days of the window, football.london understands Chelsea have not ruled out making a late move for Garnacho.
However, with time rapidly running out, there is a world where Chelsea end the window with no signings to their name. Is that the end of the world? For many, yes, it will be, but Tyrique George is the shining light Chelsea fans should not forget.
The 18-year-old winger made his senior debut at the start of the season, coming on as a substitute against Servette in the UEFA Conference League. Since then, the Blues youngster has featured nine more times under Enzo Maresca, who has shown immense trust in the teenage sensation.
With two assists to his name, both coming in the same match against Morecambe in the FA Cup, it has been an impressive start to his Chelsea senior career. Albeit he has impressed while not setting the world alight. George has shown himself to be a viable option from the bench and offer support to Jadon Sancho - who is, at the moment, Maresca's go-to left winger.
George picked up an injury on Monday while playing for the Development Squad. The winger hurt himself in Chelsea's draw with Brentford after colliding with one of the advertising hoardings and was substituted off on around 36 minutes at Wheatsheaf Park. The winger was not included in the squad for their win against Derby County in the Premier League Cup on Friday evening.
