Enzo Maresca doesn't believe Chelsea need to make attacking changes to his squad as the club line up a bid for Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho. football.london understands that an offer for the player is expected by the Old Trafford club.

Garnacho has been made available for sale this month as United attempt to source funds for their own financial issues. Maresca has admitted that he is already settled with his current group.

"I'm happy with what we have at this moment," he said when pushed on the possible arrival of Garnacho. "We said many times, on the right side it's Pedro [Neto] and Noni [Madueke], left side Jadon [Sancho] and Misha [Mykhailo Mudryk].

"He was with us, now he's not with us. Tyrique [George] is the profile that can help us. In this moment we are okay." Chelsea also have Joao Felix and Cole Palmer who are able to fill in on the wings if needed. Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson have been used as utility wide men as well.

Meanwhile, Garnacho played for United on Thursday night in their late 2-1 Europe League win over Rangers. Operating from his favoured left-wing spot, the Argentine hit the post with a good opportunity but still impressed with his display.

United fans were also heard chanting his name throughout the game. Speaking after the game, head coach Ruben Amorim said: "I'm focused on the games and he's here, he's a player for Manchester United."

He added: [It] Was really important for us today and let's see in the next days. I think he's improving in every aspect of the game. He was better today playing inside, also outside, changing positions, he's improving in recovering position."

As for Chelsea, they continue to work actively in the January window. There are no plans to recall either of Andrey Santos or Lesley Ugochkwu from loan, despite the midfield shortage heading into facing Manchester City this weekend.

Maresca explained: "No, we have in this moment, enough players to cover that situation with Moi [Moises Caicedo], Enzo [Fernandez] and Kiernan [Dewsbury-Hall]. The intention is not to go for one more midfielder."

Renato Veiga is still a Chelsea player for now, he added, although a loan move to Juventus is expected to be completed. As for any other deals, Maresca said: "With the club, the sporting directors, we pay attention if something can happen. We will see in the next 10 days if something will happen."

Specifically addressing the forwards in his squad with speculation around Joao Felix's future, the Italian also said, "For sure, Joao is a Chelsea player." After signing from Atletico Madrid in the summer he has been linked with an exit to Milan.

"The problem for Joao and Christo [Nkunku] is the manager plays most of the games with one attacking midfielder, that is Cole Palmer," Maresca continued. "They struggle to get minutes, not for any different reasons. They are both top players."
