Chelsea's trip to Ipswich Town on Monday evening will mark the halfway point of the Premier League season for the Blues.

It is game week 19 for Chelsea, who have lost just three matches in the top-flight this season. It has been a very positive campaign under Enzo Maresca to date but the Boxing Day disappointment has left a sour feeling in fans' stomachs.

Chelsea will be wanting to put the defeat behind them as they make the trip to Portman Road on Monday night. In some good news for the Blues, the game will be the cut-off point for players receiving one-match suspensions for picking up five yellow cards.

Robert Sanchez and Nicolas Jackson are both on four yellows going into the 19th game of the season. If either one of the players are booked vs Ipswich, they will miss the trip to Crystal Palace a few days later.

However, if Sanchez and Jackson are to avoid picking up yellow cards against the Tractor Boys, then they will need to hit the 10 booking limit before receiving a two-game ban. After being beaten at home to Fulham, and the four-day turnaround, Maresca is expected to make several changes to the XI that started on Boxing Day.

Speaking ahead of next week's clash with Ipswich, the Chelsea head coach said: "For sure, after a game, you need to go again no matter the result. Especially this month; I think in December, we already played eight or nine games in 25 or 27 days.

"So now it is also important to recover the energy and go again on Monday and then if we are going to make one change, two changes or three changes, we will see. Now it is a bit early but for sure, we are going to change something."
