Enzo Maresca makes stance clear on future of Chelsea star amid January transfer rumours
Enzo Maresca has admitted he hopes to KEEP Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Chelsea beyond the end of the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who joined the Blues from Leicester City for £30million in June, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month. Aston Villa, West Ham and Everton are among the teams that have been tipped to secure his signature, while a return to Leicester has not been considered as off the table.
Dewsbury-Hall has struggled for regular game since his switch to Chelsea. In fact, the Shepshed-born midfielder made just his first Premier League start for the Blues during Monday's 3-1 win over Wolves. He played 77 minutes and registered an assist as Maresca's side earned their first victory in six top-flight matches.

With Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia out, Dewsbury-Hall was handed his chance to shine and he took that opportunity with both hands. And in his post-match press conference, Maresca revealed that his intention is to keep Dewsbury-Hall at Chelsea this month and values him as an important member of the squad.
Asked whether injuries to Fernandez and Lavia impact Dewsbury-Hall's future, Maresca replied: "No. We are not going to take a decision on Kiernan because of Romeo and Enzo.
"They are injured, absolutely. I said already, a few days ago or weeks ago, that the intention is to keep Kiernan but then because we are in January anything can happen."
Goals from Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke earned the three points for Chelsea against Wolves. It's a result that moves the Blues back into the top four after a five-game winless run.
"Yeah, as you said, win the game after five games where we didn't win," Maresca added. "It's complicated but I think in the five games that we did not win the performance was there. I said already many times that the problem has been inside the box where we could be a bit more clinical.
"Tonight was important to win the game. The first half, 40 minutes, the team was brilliant. Score goal, create chances, then it happened again, the same thing that already happened in the last four or five games.
"When we concede we lost a little bit of confidence. Then, second half, again we control the game, we score twice, we could score more. We are happy for the three points."
