Evan Ferguson and Alejandro Garnacho transfers - Chelsea squad depth if six deals are completed
There are now just over two days remaining of the 2025 January transfer window and Chelsea supporters are still waiting for their club to complete a signing.
In what has been an uncharacteristically quiet window for the Blues in terms of incomings and outgoings. Numerous players have been linked with coming in and going out at Stamford Bridge but as of yet, nothing has been finalised.
Evan Ferguson has been linked with Chelsea in recent days with the Blues holding a longstanding interest in the 20-year-old Brighton striker, football.london understands. Chelsea are looking to add another striker to add some much-needed depth at the front end of the pitch. Nicolas Jackson has been relied on too much this season, with the 23-year-old starting 21 of Chelsea's 23 Premier League matches.

Likewise, Alejandro Garnacho continues to be linked with a move to SW6 with the Blues looking to add another left-sided winger to their squad list with Mykhailo Mudryk provisionally suspended following a failed drugs test in December. The two sporting directors, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, are working behind the scenes to try and give Enzo Maresca some more depth for the remainder of the season.
Also, there could be a few players on their way out of west London before the deadline on Monday evening. Axel Disasi and Joao Felix are both being pursued by Aston Villa with the Chelsea duo both wanting more game time. Likewise, Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka are both expected to leave before next week's deadline.
If those four outgoings are finalised then it would leave Chelsea a bit shorter in the squad depth department. However, bringing Garnacho and Ferguson in could see their depth look something like this:
