Huddersfield boss Michael Duff admits it is difficult to prepare for Wanderers following Ian Evatt’s departure.

The Terriers currently sit fourth in the League One table and are on a 16-game unbeaten run following last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Blackpool.

Dion Charles made his debut for the Yorkshire club at Bloomfield Road, getting 82 minutes under his belt.

Joe Taylor also made his first appearance after arriving from Luton and managed to get on the scoresheet early in the second half.

Duff was in attendance for Wanderers’ defeat against Charlton in midweek and insisted it was a game they “dominated” despite the final scoreline.

“We don’t know what we are going to face now,” he told a press conference. “Bolton were pretty structured in the way they approached the game, the way they wanted to play.

“I went to the game on Tuesday night – quite a lot that you already know but you just want to get your eyes on certain things.

“Now, with Julian (Darby) taking the team – it is not any of (Evatt’s) assistants, they have all gone – so it is the Academy staff who are taking them.

“It could be a back three, back four, back five. It is difficult, we have to focus on us now. No matter what they play – when we get the teamsheet, we might get the team wrong.

“But after 30 seconds of the game, you know what formation they are playing and it is just adjustment of a couple of things, so we will be fully prepared. They have got some good players, they are not out of it. They are not bottom of the league!

“They feel that they have ben underachieving and have got some really good players - to a point where they totally dominated the game on Tuesday night against a good Charlton team and somehow lost. If you break the game down, they should have won.”

Duff also confirmed that wing-back Lasse Sorensen could be involved against the Whites but probably not from the start.

"Lasse can have some involvement in the game,” he added. “It is probably unlikely he will start based on the time he has been out.

"We got minutes into Rads (Radinio Balker) last week and Rhys Healey. We haven’t actually got that many out now and Lee Nicholls come back into it last week.”
