Everton team news for Brighton as key man returns to squad
Everton midfielder James Garner is back in the matchday squad for the first time since he suffered a back injury in October.
The 23-year-old returned to first team training earlier this month and returns to the squad as the Blues seek to finish off his recovery programme. There remains the potential for him to earn minutes with the Under-21s but David Moyes has taken the decision to include him in the squad against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Moyes has named an unchanged starting XI for the trip to the south coast, with Jake O'Brien retaining his spot after a positive display in his first Premier League start last week. The centre back is expected to fill in on the right of the defence, working with Jesper Lindstrom in front of him as the Blues switch between a back four and a back five depending on the demands of the game.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who ended his goal drought in the win over Tottenham Hotspur last week, retains his place at the head of Everton's attack. Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring on Sunday, calmly finishing for his first goal since September.
