David Moyes has made two changes from the side that started the wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Both were enforced, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala each suffering serious injuries at the Amex seven days ago.

Calvert-Lewin is expected to be out until well into the spring after he picked up a hamstring issue in the early stages of the match. Mangala will not play again this season - and therefore has played the last game of his Everton loan spell - after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament.

The setbacks have weakened a squad that was already dealing with the absences of Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti, while Seamus Coleman, James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam have also been out of action. Garner came off the bench in the later stages at Brighton and, while there is a concern as to whether this might be too early to rely on him following his back injury, Moyes has opted to use him in the middle.

Beto, the club’s only fit, senior recognised centre forward, starts in the place of Calvert-Lewin.

Starting XI: Pickford; Mykolenko, Branthwaite, Tarkowski, O’Brien; Ndiaye, Garner, Doucoure, Gueye, Lindstro, Beto
