Everton without seven players for Liverpool clash as injuries mount ahead of Merseyside derby
It will be an emotional night on Wednesday when Everton host Liverpool in the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
But David Moyes' focus remains firmly on securing crucial Premier League points as his side looks to pull away from the relegation zone.
Despite losing his first home game since returning to the club against Aston Villa, Moyes has overseen three consecutive league wins.

A victory on Wednesday would not only provide Evertonians with a memorable send-off in the fixture's Goodison era but also help erase the disappointment of their FA Cup exit to Bournemouth last weekend.
Left-back Vitalii Mykolenko missed the Bournemouth defeat as a precaution due to a calf issue, but Moyes confirmed in his press conference that the Ukrainian had returned to training and is hopeful of being available.
One of the few positives from Everton’s cup defeat was the second-half display of deadline-day signing Charly Alcaraz. The loanee injected energy into the side and was unlucky not to score, immediately endearing himself to the Goodison crowd.
Pressed on whether Alcaraz could start, Moyes remained cautious: “He's done enough by his performance to start the game. Whether I do, is another thing. I think sometimes when you bring someone in, you don't know how long it'll take for someone to settle.
"I have to say, he settled very well in the game. He's got Premier League experience, so he's not completely new to this. The decision will be made tomorrow on whether we start him or not.”
Everton will be without loanee Orel Mangala, who has returned to Lyon after suffering a long-term injury, but James Garner is back after impressing in their 4-0 win over Leicester last time out in the league. Moyes also revealed that Tim Iroegbunam is edging closer to a return to full fitness having emerged from the bench on Saturday.
“We're short with our squad at the moment. We've got Tim on the way back. He's beginning to get himself back in a position where he's ready to play. Jimmy (Garner)'s done a really good job in the two games he's played.”
Long-term absentees Dwight McNeil and Armando Broja remain around six weeks from fitness, while Seamus Coleman is also unavailable despite continuing to provide valuable leadership behind the scenes.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Youssef Chermiti remain sidelined, with no update given on Nathan Patterson, who missed the weekend's match.
