Every Arsenal deal in the January transfer window as Mikel Arteta makes defender decision
Mikel Arteta remained coy when he was quizzed on Arsenal's plans for the transfer window. The Gunners haven't previously spent particularly large sums in January, but, with Bukayo Saka expected to be out for a while, they could be forced to sign a replacement.
Alexander Isak continues to be heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, although his eye-watering price tag could prove to be a stumbling block. Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford looks set to leave Manchester United after admitting that he's 'ready for a new challenge'.
Permanent or temporary, Arteta will be in the market for somebody who can drag Arsenal back into the Premier League title race. While supporters might want to see a new face or two at the Emirates Stadium, the north Londoners could also offload a few players.

"Let’s see how we get there," said Arteta in an interview with club media. "Hopefully the squad is going to be in a much healthier position than it is right now, but who knows?
"We are prepared if we need to do something, we’re capable of doing something, but then that transfer window is very tricky and difficult to control. The opportunities are very limited but we’ll be there."
Leaping out of the blocks, Arsenal completed their first piece of business on New Year's Day. The Gunners sold Josh Robinson to Wigan Athletic, ending the 20-year-old defender's nine-year stay.
Upon signing a three-and-a-half-year contract at the Brick Community Stadium, Robinson told Latics TV: "I am very excited to start my journey here. It’s a very big football club, and I am looking forward to seeing what the season holds.
"They were interested in me and when you see a big club like Wigan, you cannot turn that opportunity down. He (Shaun Maloney) told me that we play a similar football to what I’ve been used to. The manager is a good guy and played a big part.
"I’ve been at Arsenal for a long time, and coming out of the Academy into a first-team environment is a big step but I feel like I am ready to take it. It’s a big decision - but I thought why not take the leap of faith and hopefully everything will go well. I am very excited to get going. I just want to hit the ground running, and hopefully do well for the Football Club."
He joined the club in March 2016 at the age of 11 before signing his first professional contract at London Colney in July 2023. So, with that being said, football.london has listed every deal that Arsenal have completed in January.
