Tottenham Hotspur have made one of the first signings of the January transfer window in the Premier League, with the club confirming the arrival of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague.

The 21-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a six-year deal with the club, with Spurs paying a fee of £12.5 million plus add-ons. He comes in following injury to first choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who is expected to be out until at least February with a broken ankle.

Fraser Forster has been deputising, but illness meant that Spurs had to call on Brandon Austin for Saturday’s Premier League match against Newcastle. The game ended in a 2-1 defeat, leaving Spurs in 12th place in the table.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are next in action on Wednesday when they take on Liverpool in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final. Who will be in goal for that game is not yet clear.

Kinsky’s arrival is not expected to be the last at Tottenham over the next month, with Postecoglou keen to bolster his squad in the window.

Speaking ahead of the game against Newcastle , he said: “I think, the club are working hard to try and sort of get some help for the playing group and it’s no secret, we need to bolster our numbers up a little bit.

“So the club's working hard on that and obviously January is not an easy month we understand it's not an easy time to bring people in particularly, you know, quickly and at the same time we still wanna make sure we do what we think is the best thing for us rather than sort of just, you know, panic and bring people in who aren’t going to be a suitable fit.”

Spurs confirmed in the summer that youngster Yang Min-Hyeok would join in January. The month, could also, of course, see some outgoings from the squad.

Here is a look at all of the confirmed deals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium so far in the January transfer window.
