Middlesbrough ended the January transfer window with six new additions for Michael Carrick's first team, while adding two exciting young players to develop from their academy.

Deadline day saw them add winger Samuel Iling-Junior and striker Kelechi Iheanacho to take their incoming business up to six. They tried to sign a right-back and midfielder in the final weeks of the window but were ultimately unable to get anything over the line, as they opted to keep Anfernee Dijksteel and Dan Barlaser at the club.

In terms of outgoings, there were four permanent exits, with another five loan moves for fringe and young players. In a month a big change in the Boro squad, those outgoings don't yet include Emmanuel Latte Lath and Lukas Engel who are both close to leaving for the MLS. They aren't bound by the British deadline and are yet to be announced but are expected to be completed in the coming days. In the meantime, here is every completed deal for Boro this winter.
