Stoke City have two new signings in the building and are looking for one or two more in the final couple of days of the transfer window.

Mark Robins has always been clear that he wants extra help in the squad as he tries to pull the Potters away from the wrong end of the Championship, while he has also kept pointing out that key players will hopefully return from injury soon - even if there might need to be patience as they get right up to speed - and that the club is in a squeeze with Financial Fair Play rules.

Still, the links have kept coming and gossip mill will keep churning over running up to the deadline at 11pm on Monday. Here is a run through of the names that have been put in the frame so far this month.

Jeffrey Schlupp

Stoke were put in a long list of Championship admirers in versatile Crystal Palace utility man Jeffrey Schlupp.

The 32-year-old has already been linked with interest Blackburn Rovers, Alex Neil's Millwall and Preston North End. Schlupp is also reported to be liked by Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs as well, including San Diego FC and Charlotte FC. Transfer specialist Pete O’Rouke has claimed that Stoke and Mark Robins' former club Coventry are “interested” in Eagles player before the close of the current transfer window.

Schlupp is believed to have been in Stoke's sights early in January but the player is more likely to end up in MLS, where he has been linked with San Diego FC.

Krystian Bielik

Stoke were linked with the Birmingham captain Krystian Bielik but he is not a player who is believed to have been up for discussion this month, either leaving his current club or going elsewhere.

Blues boss Chris Davies said in an interview for Birmingham's club website this week: "He's going well. Like a few of them, they've had injuries, a couple of weeks out, and then we're bringing them back into games before they've had much training so they're almost getting fit through playing the games. He's had a cameo role against Exeter then he's had another short period against Wrexham. He's building up but he hasn't had the training that is sometimes necessary. But he's fit and available and ready to go and he's going to be an important player for us going forward."

Conor Chaplin

The Ipswich Town playmaker has started seven games in the Premier League so far this season and come off the bench in another eight, but there was a link suggesting he could follow clubmate Ali Al-Hamadi to the bet365 Stadium.

Kieran McKenna told the EADT this week: "Has there? I've not seen that. Where's Chappers going? News to me."

Mark Sykes

Stoke have been looking to add a new winger but there doesn't appear to be any hope of common ground between them and Bristol City about the valuation of Mark Sykes.

The 27-year-old is under contract until this summer but his club have an option to extend that by 12 months.

Jayden Danns

Danns has come through the ranks alongside Lewis Koumas at Liverpool and Arne Slot has been weighing up whether to let him out on loan, like Koumas, for the rest of the season.

Stoke, however, have filled up their five loan slots available on a match day and have not been expected to oversubscribe this season as they did under Alex Neil in 2022/23.
