"They are both available and they can get some minutes in tomorrow's game. Then the rest, apart from Benoit Badiashile, Wes Fofana and Kiernan [Dewsbury-Hall], but the rest are all available."

Will we see Aaron Anselmino on the pitch tomorrow?

"No. It's too early; the plan for him is to try and put him in condition to get some minutes in the future, not now. He had some injuries when he was there and now it is important for him to arrive here, adapt to English weather, English football and then from there we will start to use him."

You told us Wesley Fofana could be out for the season but Wesley has been saying otherwise on social media... What's going on?

"We speak the same language in terms of we communicate between each other in English and in French, so it has been quite clear. I spoke with Wes - the 12 to 16 weeks the club mentioned is the situation. Wes is thinking he can recover sooner than that. We are all happy if Wes' recovers [quicker] and will be available for tomorrow, but we are going to see.

"There is not any problem, I just told you what the medical staff said to me, that it is around 12 and 16 weeks. Wes is thinking he can recover earlier than that. We are all happy if Wes is back as soon as possible."

The Fofana injury means you are being linked with Marc Guehi. Can you tell us anything more about that?

"The only thing I can say is Marc Guehi is a Palace player. I like Marc for sure but he is not our player. But I like also the central defenders we have. I also like different types of central defenders in Italy, Spain and France but that doesn't mean we are going to buy a player.

"It is a normal situation I think when you have central defenders injured that the speculation is there. At the same time, there is nothing there."

Are you going to bring Trevoh Chalobah back from his loan?

"This is exactly the same. Unfortunately I have to give you the same answer. Trev is a good player but in this moment he is a Palace player, so we will see."

Will Ben Chilwell or Dewsbury-Hall play this weekend?

"Kiernan is injured, as I said at the beginning, so he will not be able to play some minutes. Chilwell, for him, I think in this moment is thinking he is probably going to leave, so it is probably better to avoid using him to avoid that kind of situation, an injury or this kind of things. So the plan is not to use Ben tomorrow."

How important is the FA Cup for Chelsea?

"The FA Cup, for sure, is very important but not because we are 10 points from the top of the league. It's important because it is another competition. Since we started, we have tried to do our best in every competition.

"With the Premier League, Conference League and Carabao Cup - but unfortunately we lost against Newcastle. We are going to try do the same [try to win] in the FA Cup."

How much do you know about Morecambe?

"Now, I know many things because I watched many games of them to be ready for tomorrow."

Do you think Dewsbury-Hall has a future at Chelsea still?

"In this moment, Kiernan is our player. For sure, he has a future with us."

So you're not encouraging the club to send him on loan and give him some more minutes somewhere else?

"No, no, no. Also, because when you want to send players on loan, or you want to bring a player, it has to be from all the sides; from the players, the club, the manager, so it is not just about what I want. It is about to make a decision all together but at the moment there is no plan for Kiernan."

Do you think Kiernan is one of those players that will fight for his future?

"For sure, he has to do that. No doubt. I know Kiernan quite well and he will try to do that."

How much say do you personally have in a decision on whether to bring a player back from loan?

"Since we started, it is the same concept; it is a decision that we take all together. Me, the sporting directors, the owners - they are there also to decide with us. So it is a decision we take all together."

Has your role in the recruitment setup changed now that you have been here for six months?

"At the end, I'm the one that is working every day with the players, so how can I train with players if there is no voice from the manager? As I said, but it is not only the manager that decides, it is also the sporting directors. We take decisions together."

Is Cesare Casadei in the squad tomorrow or is he being left out because there is a lot of talk he will leave?

"Yes, Cesare will not be in the squad. It is more or less the same situation as Ben Chilwell. For him, probably in this moment, the idea is not to allow him to play some minutes in case there is any opportunity for him to go and play. At this moment, this is the best thing for him."

Is it more likely to be a permanent deal than a loan?

"I don't know. The only thing I can say is Cesare didn't get minutes for us, not because he's not good. He is a good player and in the middle we have Caicedo, Enzo and Lavia - for me, who are the same position.

"Cesare has shown how good he can be in the Conference League, playing all the games as a No.6; physically strong and good in the air. He is a good player but we have already many good players in that position already so he didn't get the minutes."

Chelsea have conceded a lot of late goals recently. What do you put this down to? Is it a bit of switching off or fatigue?

"No, no, no - I don't think the players switch off. During the season, you have some moments where you score goals at the end and you have moments where you concede goals at the end. You have moments where you score goals from set-pieces and you have moments where you concede goals from set-pieces.

"I guess it is just a moment and hopefully we can avoid that and start to win games in the last minutes. That is a good feeling for us on the bench to be able to celebrate in the last minute of the game."

Results-wise, you are in your most complicated moment. What sort of reaction have you seen from the players?

"The reaction is not anything weird or strange. Probably for us, to be in some moments of the season in second and close to first, people thought that we were not going to have this kind of moment. But that is not real.

"In this moment, the only team since we start that is winning every game is Liverpool. Apart from them, we all have some moments where we struggle with results but that is part of the season.

"And also, you have to analyse the games, the performances. In the last game against Palace, I think the team was good. It's just a moment. Hopefully we can win a game soon and come back with the three points."

Is there anything new you've learned about your players?

"For sure, the reaction is a good one in terms of, even in the last game against Palace where we drew, the mood was not the best in the dressing room even though we drew. The reason why is because probably they have the desire to win all of the games, so this is probably something really good."

Why is the FA Cup so important in England?

"Probably the culture and the history of this competition. It's the oldest one. It's very nice. Not only in Italy, but also in Spain, they care about the competition but not like in England with the FA Cup."
