Every word of Jürgen Klopp message as Liverpool legend joins Instagram in social media U-turn
Liverpool will soon have a new manager. Jürgen Klopp will lead the side for the last time after 491 matches and almost nine years in charge of the Reds against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
It is not yet known what the 56-year-old’s next career move will be. Klopp has ruled out managing another Premier League club but that does not mean we have seen the last of him in a dugout somewhere.
The soon-to-be ex-Liverpool manager has made it easier for fans to keep tabs on what he is up to by joining Instagram. At the time of writing, Klopp already has over three-quarters of a million followers and he may be into seven figures by the time you read this.

His account has the handle ‘kloppo’ and he launched it with a reel entitled ‘Dear Liverpudlians.’ In it, Klopp addressed Liverpool supporters, with his words interspersed with footage of him doing his trademark fist pumps in front of the Kop, clips from his first press conference at the club, and video of celebrations and parades following various trophy wins.
"Dear Liverpudlians, we're getting closer to the end,” he began. "On 8 October, 2015, we met for the first time properly. I would call it a love affair.”
"The first day, it was an absolutely incredible, incredible time,” Klopp continued. "I enjoyed it so much and I want to thank you so much for all the support you gave us over the years.
"All the power you gave us. I wanted always that it feels like we write the story together and that's how it feels today,” he added. "Leaving this incredible place is hard, but I want to stay in contact with you. Even when I'm not a social media guy, people told me social media helps with that, so here we go. See you."
Klopp also later shared an animated video from brfootball called ‘Dear Jürgen, thank you for the memories”. Anyone who watches it is sure to have their emotions stirred ahead of what will be a remarkable occasion for the manager’s final match at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool.com says: Liverpool supporters will be delighted that Klopp has joined Instagram. It will feel like they can keep in touch with the man who has brought them so much joy since 2015. But how long until he is on TikTok? He's never been a fan of social media before but this U-turn could be the start of something!
