Former Carlisle United goalkeeper Magnus Norman has made a move in non-league.

The ex-Blues No1 has joined National League South club Dorking Wanderers.

It follows his released from National League club Oldham Athletic.

Norman, 27, had previously been on loan with fifth-tier club Ebbsfleet United but now drops a division in search of first-team football.

“I’m delighted to sign for Dorking Wanderers and be back home," London-born Norman told the club website.

"It’s exciting to represent a local club and be part of something special here."

Dorking manager Marc White added: "Magnus arrives with a high pedigree having played for various clubs, including within the Football League, and we are delighted he is part of our squad for the rest of the season.”

Dorking sit seven in National League South.

Norman was on United's books from 2020 to 2022.

Signed by Chris Beech, the former Fulham and Rochdale man made 16 first-team appearances for the Cumbrians.

He started the 2021/22 campaign as United's first-choice keeper after the departure of Paul Farman, but injury cost him his place and he ended the season out of favour with Mark Howard taking the No1 position.

After leaving the Blues he spent the last two-and-a-half years on Oldham's books.
