Ex-Liverpool defender is Hamilton Accies' first January signing
Hamilton Accies have signed ex-Liverpool, Falkirk and St Johnstone defender Tony Gallacher on a permanent deal for the rest of this season.
The 25-year-old left-back joins the Scottish Championship club as a free agent, having left St Johnstone in the summer after two years in Perth.
Gallacher, who is the nephew of acclaimed goalkeeper Jim Gallacher and cousin of Paul, also a keeper, started out at Falkirk in summer of 2015, having graduated from Forth Valley Academy.
He joined Liverpool in January 2018, but failed to make a first-team league appearance, and spent time on loan in MLS with Toronto from September to December 2020, before joining St Johnstone in 2022.

Gallacher told Hamilton Accies' website: "It feels great to get the deal over the line. I've been here training with the boys for a decent amount of time and after speaking to the manager, we've managed to get it over the line."
Boss John Rankin said: "Tony gives us some more depth in that defensive area, where we've been struggling with injuries as of late.
"He works hard, he's not afraid to put his body on the line for the team, and he's another big voice in the dressing room."
Gallacher is eligible for tonight's Championship match at home to Partick Thistle.
