Former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves has been left very impressed by Liverpool this season boldly claiming that the Reds have "no weakness" under new head coach Arne Slot.

Six points clear at the top of the Premier League table and still with a game in hand to be played, Liverpool is in pole position to win the title again, with Arsenal and Chelsea in pursuit. But Hargreaves can't see beyond the Reds when it comes to the eventual title winner for 2024/25.

"I think they're the only team in the Premier League without a weakness," Hargreaves said live on Amazon Prime this week. "They are just steamrolling everybody."

On social media, some fans pointed to Andy Robertson and Darwin Nunez as being "weaknesses" for Liverpool. That, though, vastly exaggerates the truth of the matter.

Robertson is not having his best season in a Liverpool shirt but the Scotland captain is not costing the Reds points. He has played most league games this year with Liverpool averaging just one conceded per match. Only Arsenal has conceded fewer across the division.

In the case of Nunez, while his three goals in all competitions so far in this campaign is an underwhelming tally, he is effectively the third choice in the number nine pecking order at the moment with Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota both vying to play there too.

Liverpool.com says: Still with the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest being the only real disappointing result of the Slot era, things have been going smoothly in the main. Even that result looks better now than it did at the time, with Nuno Espirito Santo's side inside the top four.

From here, there will be pressure to get over the line and make the most of the opportunity but there is no reason to think Liverpool won't be able to do that. The only concern would be injuries, which have so far been managed very effectively.
