Familiar striker Harrison Summers signs for Hereford Pegasus
HEREFORD PEGASUS have welcomed Harrison Summers for his third stint at the club, and also signed young full-back Ethan Dallaway.
Hereford Pegasus boss Mark Hibbard said: “We’re very pleased to have Harrison (Summers) back at the club.
“He’s obviously no stranger to us, having played for the youth team and first team in the past and obviously against us for Westfields and Hereford.
“It’s great to have yet another local lad at the club as we look to finish the season strong but also build and squad and the club around local talent next season.
Hereford Pegasus tasted defeat on the road on Saturday after a goal in each half for Bailey Fuller saw them beaten 2-0 against Pershore Town.
Meanwhile, Williams Hawes netted the winner as Westfields suffered a late disappointment on Saturday when they went down 1-0 to a late goal in added time to host club Slimbridge.
Both mid-table sides had struggled to gain the upper hand as their respective goalkeepers had produced second half saves to keep the score line blank when substitute Hawes pounced to score the match winner with a great finish in the 11th minute of added time.
Earlier both sides had struggled to break down solid defences although Ben Brookes did go close with a snap shot in the first half.
After the break Fields goalkeeper Shay Sterry twice saved well in the Fields goal, while at the other end Slimbridge keeper Travis Wood made a double save to deny Zac Powell and Ryan Hillier.
With the game petering out for a goalless draw Slimbridge took the points with a clinical finish from Hawes deep into injury time.
Next Saturday Westfields are at home to Lydney Town, kick-off 3pm at allpay.park.
Wellington also welcomed familiar faces to their club in the Hellenic Division One.
Carlos Moreira and Adam Hockey both signed for the club ahead of their local derby match against Ludlow Town on Saturday.
The Tangerines ran out 5-0 winners with Moreira netting twice, while Sam Griffiths, Aston Amies and Josh Harrison also scored for the hosts.
Hereford are out of the HFA County Challenge Cup after their youngsters were beaten 7-2 by Herefordshire Premier side AFC Kempsey on Monday night.
