'Fancy yourself' - Rangers star agrees with popular criticism of Manchester United this season
James Tavernier is bullish about Rangers' chances of beating Manchester United on Thursday night.
United suffered two awful defeats to Bournemouth and Newcastle at Old Trafford in December and were recently staring a third straight home defeat in the face against Southampton.
Southampton were the better side for most of the game and Amad turned the game on its head with a late hat-trick. United were aware they needed to deliver an improved display against Brighton on Sunday, but they lost 3-1 and took another major step in the wrong direction.

Brighton have won six of their last seven games against United and there is no longer a fear-factor at Old Trafford for visiting teams, which has been a huge problem this season.
United's players have been heavily criticised and Ruben Amorim has admitted they could be the "worst United team in the club's history", so Rangers will smell blood on Thursday.
Rangers will be supported by 3,000 fans for the Europa League clash at Old Trafford and their captain Tavernier confidently said: "You've got to fancy yourself against anybody.
"Obviously they are going through a difficult patch at the moment. We are going to work on what we believe they are going to be setting themselves out to do against us, work really hard over the next couple of days, and put that game plan into the game. Hopefully we can get that win."
Tavernier continued: "We've had a really good campaign so far. t's a competition that we have really enjoyed, we have really expressed ourselves against the top European teams, and we are in a good position with two games left. It's obviously a big one in two days time.
"The other teams have more possession, it's more of an open game, and defensively we've been doing really well when it comes to that. The transitions have been really effective.
"It's different compared to domestic but we are just taking it within our stride to take advantage of all the other teams that are expecting to beat us. We are maybe going into the games as underdogs and we are really outperforming."
The bookmakers price United as the 2/5 favourites to win the game and Rangers at 11/2.
