YOUNG pony club members from the area are celebrating after a successful day competing at a show jumping competition at Myerscough College, near Preston.

Two teams from the Pendle Forest and Craven Pony Club had a fantastic day at the Pony Club Winter League contest held at the college's international arena.

Jumping a 75cm course - 2ft4ins - the club had two teams raking part; the Witches, made up of Maisie, Holly, Ilana, and Emily; and the Wizards, made up of William, Olivia, and Elsie.

A spokesperson for the club said they were thrilled with the teams' performances.

They said: "The Witches delivered outstanding performances and proudly secured an impressive third place; the Wizards, although not placed this time, their determination and team spirit shone brightly in every round. Special Shout-out to William, whose exceptional rounds showcased his incredible talent in the ring.

A huge congratulations to all our riders—you’ve done us proud; here’s to more fantastic achievements as the Winter League continues."
