Jaden Philogene is being linked with a loan move to Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce ahead of the January transfer window.

Aston Villa re-signed Philogene from Hull City in the summer transfer window but the winger has been used sparingly by Unai Emery. Among Philogene’s highlights was a start in the victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League, but more often than not he has been a substitute this term.

Philogene has only started twice in the Premier League with Emery preferring Morgan Rogers, Leon Bailey and John McGinn in the three attacking positions behind the striker instead.

According to TRT Spor, via Fotomac, Philogene is on Fenerbahce’s wanted list heading into the winter market. It is claimed Fenerbahce want to add some extra firepower to Mourinho’s squad to boost their chances of chasing down Super Lig leaders Galatasaray.

Fenerbahce are currently second in the Super Lig, eight points behind unbeaten Galatasaray, in their first season under Mourinho. Mourinho’s current attacking options include Edin Dzeko, Dusan Tadic, Allan Saint-Maximin and Youssef En-Nesyri.

Philogene, who will celebrate his 23rd birthday in February, has already amassed 103 senior appearances.
