Fermanagh SuperCupNI announce new manager for Premier side
Co. Fermanagh SuperCupNI has announced the appointment of Marc McCleery as the U16 Premier (2009) manager for the 2025 SuperCupNI campaign.
McCleery’s coaching career began with Maguiresbridge Reserves after an injury brought his playing days to an early end.
He later gained experience at youth level with Fivemiletown United before moving to Ballinamallard United, where he first participated in the SuperCupNI tournament in the 2018 Minor Section.
More recently, McCleery has managed Ballinamallard Academy teams competing in the NIFL and National League. He is currently in charge of the club’s U15 squad.
Currently working towards his UEFA B Licence, McCleery has also experience working for Rangers, as well as local company DS Coaching.
Following McCleery’s appointment as Premier manager, Chairperson Ernie Conlon expressed his delight at securing a coach of such high calibre: “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Marc McCleery as our Premier manager for the 2025 campaign.
"Marc is an exceptional coach, with a proven track record at the highest level of the local game and a reputation for supporting the holistic development of young players.
“His extensive knowledge of youth football in Fermanagh and coaching expertise will ensure our Premier class of 2025 have the best possible chance of success.”
Conlon also wished to acknowledge the high standard of applications for the Premier vacancy and extended his best wishes to those who were unsuccessful in their application this time around.
He added: “On behalf of the association, I wish to place on record my thanks and gratitude to all those who applied for the position of Premier manager.
"It was a rigorous process where only one candidate can come out on top. We have offered feedback to all candidates who applied and we wish each and every one of them every success moving forward.”
