Several months after leaving Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has started his latest role as Red Bull's head of global soccer. The former manager is set to speak publicly for the first time this week after the announcement of a welcome press conference.

Klopp wrote his name into the Liverpool history books by transforming the team into Premier League and Champions League winners, amongst many other major honours. That is why when he announced his departure almost 12 months ago to the day, it sent shockwaves around Anfield.

Upon the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign, he left after an emotional farewell vs Wolves, setting Arne Slot up for everything that has followed since.

Meanwhile after a break from the sport, Klopp has returned in a new-look role for himself. On January 1, 2025, he stepped into the position of Red Bull's global head of soccer.

Overseeing their global multi-club model, the announcement last October explained this 'strategic role' to entail 'supporting the sports directors in advancing the Red Bull philosophy. He will also leverage his extensive network to aid in scouting top talent and contribute to the training and development of coaches'.

Now Red Bull have scheduled Klopp's first press conference for Tuesday, January 14. It will take place in Salzburg, Austria, and for Liverpool supporters with interest in the UK the start time will be 1:00pm.

He will be joined by the company's CEO Oliver Mintzlaff - who recently admitted to pressing the 57-year-old to join their operation long before he decided to leave the Reds.

Prior to the press conference Klopp has already got stuck into his tasks. On Saturday he was spotted in the stands watching Paris FC - who Red Bull newly acquired a small stake in - vs Amiens in Ligue 2, then on Sunday he has been spotted at RB Leipzig against Werder Bremen, according to reports in his homeland.
