This Florida State star picked up her third victory of the season, and it's not the world's No. 1 amateur
Move over, Jasmine Koo. There's another member of the three-win club this season.
Mirabel Ting, a junior at Florida State, dominated Saturday during the final round of the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico to capture her third individual victory this season. Ting, who carded a 6-under 66 to secure the win at 12 under for the tournament, topped her teammate and world No. 1 amateur Lottie Woad by six shots for the title.
Ting has won all three of her starts this season. After Woad's runner-up finish, she has one victory, five top-3 finishes and has only lost to six players in five events.
Woad and Ting, along with Koo, the stellar freshman at USC, have been among the best players in college golf this year, and for the Florida State duo, their strong fall performances carried into the spring.
Florida State, which finished at 10 under, claimed the team title by six shots over TCU. Virginia and Houston rounded out the top four.
Virginia senior Amanda Sambach placed third individually at 5 under, and Lauren Olivares, who in 2023 became the first woman to shoot 60 in college golf history, was solo fourth at 4 under.
