FIFA's top ten players revealed - but guess who's not made the cut
FIFA has shortlisted the ten Best Men’s Player Award nominees – and there is one notable absentee.
The accolade will be presented at the FIFA Football Awards ceremony in London on September 24.
Of course Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are up for the gong – as is French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe.

There is also space for England’s Harry Kane following his great showing this summer.
Premier League and Belgian stars Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard are all of course included – but missing is some Brazilian sparkle.
PSG’s Neymar doesn’t make the top ten after the Samba Boys under-performed in Russia.
Neymar has been heavily criticised for his conduct at the World Cup, accused of diving and faking injury as Brazil came undone in the quarter-finals.
Antoine Griezmann also makes the cut, alongside fellow Frenchman Raphael Varane.
Luka Modric is in the top ten after leading Croatia to the final and winning the Golden Ball award in Russia.
It’s not just about World Cup displays. Mo Salah also appears having taken Liverpool to the Champions League final following an incredible first season back in England.
