Former Carlisle United defender Robinson joins new club
Jack Robinson has found a new club two days after his Carlisle United departure.
The former Blues defender has signed for Hartlepool United.
Robinson has sealed a move to the National League club on a permanent deal, Hartlepool having held long-standing interest in the left-sided player.
The 23-year-old links up with other former Blues at the Monkey Hangers, where former United assistant manager Gavin Skelton is first-team coach and Gary Madine, Adam Campbell and Tom Parkes are among their players.

Robinson said Skelton was instrumental in his switch to Victoria Park.
“I’m delighted to be here. It’s been around a month since they [Hartlepool] first contacted me and I’m really excited to get going now," he said in a club interview.
“Early in the window I spoke to Gavin [Skelton], he was at my previous club, and he said how good the club was.
"The main thing for me is I needed to play football, and I wasn't getting that at Carlisle. Hopefully I can get that here."
Robinson went on to say that he had a "great relationship" with Skelton from their time at Carlisle.
Pools head coach Anthony Limbrick, who recently replaced veteran Lennie Lawrence in the hotseat, added of Robinson: "He’s a left-back who will provide great competition in that area of the pitch, but he’s also versatile and can play in other areas.
“He’s at a good age where he’s still young and can develop but he’s got a lot of experience, including a promotion into League One.
"He knows a few players already and will be able to settle in well. We’re pleased to have him onboard.”
Robinson could make his Pools debut at Sutton United on Saturday. The north east side are currently 12th in non-league's top tier.
The former Middlesbrough man agreed his departure from Carlisle by mutual consent on transfer deadline day.
That followed a 41-game spell at Brunton Park, Robinson initially at Carlisle on loan in the second half of the 2022/23 season before joining permanently in the summer of 2023.
Former United head coach Mike Williamson had said last month that Robinson was weighing up several options for his future away from Carlisle.
