Former Premier League regular makes sensational move to non-league Berkshire outfit
Former Liverpool and Derby County star Jordan Ibe has made a sensational move to Berkshire, joining non-league outfit Hungerford Town.
The 29-year-old rose through the ranks with Wycombe Wanderers but moved to Liverpool in 2011 and went on to made nearly 60 appearances for the Reds.
Joining Derby County on loan in 2014/15, the winger scored against Reading as the Rams but was recalled in January and became a semi-regular at Anfield.
Moving to Bournemouth for £15m in 2016, he made nearly a century of appearances for the Cherries before returning to Pride Park on loan.
Unfortunately, the England Under-21s international announced that he was suffering with depression and has since gone on to play in Turkey and drop into the National League.
Now moving to Berkshire and Bulpit Lane, Ibe has joined the Southern League Premier Division South side.
Upon confirming the move, Ibe said: "It is an honour to Hungerford Town for taking me in and believing in my dream.
"It is time to buckle down and show the ability that I still have. With hard work, it can take you anywhere."
Manager Danny Robinson added: "I am absolutely delighted to welcome Jordon to Bulpit Lane. Jordon comes to us with a massive pedigree and wealth of experience," Robinson said.
"By his own admission he wants to get back going again and we will be doing everything we can to get him smiling and enjoy his football. A serious talent that we are all looking forward to seeing in a Hungerford shirt. "
