Former Reading and Brighton defender makes switch to Scottish Premiership
Former Reading defender Imari Samuels has joined Scottish Premiership outfit Dundee after failing to make an appearance for Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 21-year-old spent more than six years with Reading, making nearly 40 appearances for the Under-21s and regularly training with the first-team, but failed to make his debut.
Moving to join the Seagulls in 2022, the full-back only made one first-team appearance for the Premier League side and had a four-match loan spell with Fleetwood Town in League One last season.
Moving to Dens Park on a two-and-a-half year deal, the youngster will hope to keep the 'Dee' in with a chance of a top-half finish, currently sat eighth out of 12.
The former England Under-20 international said: "It feels great to get this opportunity and I’m ready to kick on. I spoke with the manager on Tuesday and it was a really positive talk from there I knew it was the right choice for me to come here.
"I’m an energetic player who likes to get up and down the pitch and I will fight for every ball. I’m ready to go and I can’t wait to play in front of the Dundee fans.”
That's him, laid back but a great kid, he will do well for the dees. https://t.co/FeYyecIsU0
