Former Reading youngster Cesare Casadei has made a deadline day return to Italy after departing Chelsea.

The 22-year-old Italy international spent some time on loan with the Royals in 2022/23, part of Paul Ince's side relegated from the Championship, and made 15 appearances.

He scored one goal in this time, an equaliser at Blackburn Rovers before losing 2-1 at Ewood Park.

Since his spell in Berkshire, the midfielder has made 17 appearances for the Blues and spent the 2023/24 campaign with Leicester City, scoring three goals in 25 appearances as the Foxes won the Championship.

Unable to hold down a spot at Stamford Bridge, the youngster has returned to Italy and the Serie A, joining Torino on a permanent deal.

Sat 11th in the Italian top division, Torino signed Scotland international Che Adams earlier in the window.
