Former Town captain leaves his role at MLS side - and heads for business school
Former Ipswich Town captain Jason de Vos has left his assistant coaching role at MLS side Toronto.
The 51-year-old joined the Canadian outfit at start of 2024, joining John Herdman's coaching staff, having previously worked with him on the Canadian national team.
He now leaves BMO Field to start a new journey after sharing on his LinkedIn page, he had been accepted in the Executive MBA program at Ivey Business School at Western University.

The Canadian finished his career at Portman Road in 2008 after making 179 appearances for Town, scoring 11 goals.
After retiring he worked as an analyst for The Sports Network in Canada and was a technical director at Oakville Soccer Club.
De Vos then spent last seven years as Canada Soccer’s Director of Development, where he was part of Herdman’s coaching staff at the Summer Olympic Games (Rio 2016) and the FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022).
He also served as their interim General Secretary in 2023.
