Former Ipswich Town forward Jordan Rhodes has joined Mansfield Town on loan from fellow League One side Blackpool for the rest of the season.

The 34-year-old made a permanent switch to the Tangerines last summer after scoring 15 goals on loan from Huddersfield Town in 2023/24.

Rhodes has struggled to hit that same form this season, however, which has seen him slip down the pecking order under Steve Bruce and fuelled his desire to move on.

He now joins Nigel Clough's side, who beat multiple clubs for signature. The Stags currently sit 14th in the third-tier table and have another ex-Blue in their ranks in the form of Elliott Hewitt.

Overall, Rhodes made 10 substitute appearances for Town, scoring one goal before manager Roy Keane allowed him to leave for just £350,000 in 2009.

He has since gone on to score more than 240 goals across his career and is a former Scotland international with 14 caps to his name.
