Former Ipswich Town full-back Kane Vincent-Young has returned to League Two side Colchester United on a deal that will run until the end of the campaign.

The 28-year-old had been a free agent since the end of last season, having been released by Wycombe Wanderers.

Vincent-Young made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Chairboys, but he suffered two injuries during his spell at Adams Park.

He re-joins the U's after five-and-half years away, having left the Essex side to join Town in the summer of 2019.

The right-back played 64 games for the Blues, scoring twice. He helped Kieran McKenna's side win promotion to the Championship in the 2022/23 season.

He previously made over 100 appearances for Colchester and joins Danny Cowley's team, who are 13th in the fourth tier.

Vincent-Young will link-up with former Town team-mates Teddy Bishop and Tyreece Simpson at the JobServe Community Stadium.

It's been nearly a year since his last league match, but won his first caps for Grenada in the CONCACAF Nations League in October and November.
