Leeds United suffered the lows, highs and lows again on Saturday afternoon as they drew 3-3 with Hull City in the Championship.

Abu Kamara opened the goal-scoring on five minutes when he lobbed Illan Meslier after a questionable decision for the goalkeeper to come off his line. Leeds regrouped at the break and were level straightaway after the restart as Ao Tanaka curled home a fine strike.

Just after the hour mark the turnaround was complete as Daniel James steered the ball in from close range. When Joel Piroe made it 3-1 with just over 15 minutes remaining, it looked like Leeds would cruise to victory.

But a mistake from Meslier allowed Joao Pedro to pull one back before Kamara fired home on 90 minutes to send the home fans wild and leave Leeds scratching their heads. After a bizarre game, Leeds Live has taken a look at four key talking points from the fixture.

Meslier head drops

The Whites were still in front when Meslier's mistake made it 3-2. The goalkeeper should have done better to claim the ball when it looped in the air and hit the crossbar but there was still a good chance of three points.

However, as the game restarted, Meslier had his head down and looked shot of confidence. That reaction spoke volumes and preluded a comeback that had looked unthinkable.

Farke caught by surprise

In the press box, everyone was stunned by Hull's comeback. Even at 3-2 it felt like Leeds were not going to let this slip and that was clear by the lack of substitutions.

Daniel Farke was clearly confident that his team were going to hold on and his late changes when the game seemed to be changing momentum, summed up his surprise.

More Bamford misery

Patrick Bamford missed the game on Saturday and Farke is unsure when the striker will return. It has been a season to forget for the forward and there has been talk of a January departure.

However, an injury would stop that in its tracks and Bamford will be hoping he is able to return to fitness before the end of the month, whether that is to play at Elland Road or elsewhere.

Wober positive

The one overriding positive from the Yorkshire derby was Max Wober's performance. The defender was brought in to replace Sam Byram and impressed despite his lack of match action this season.

He lasted longer than against Blackburn and the hope would be that he is able to complete 90 minutes sooner rather than later.
