Frank Lampard puts timescale on return for injured Coventry City trio
Frank Lampard is looking forward to welcoming back his three injured players to boost Coventry City’s squad for the final few months of the season.
The Sky Blues boss has had to do without influential trio Haji Wright, Ephron Mason-Clark and Ben Sheaf in recent weeks when the team has turned their form around and pushed up the Championship table to within three points of the play-off places.
And while none of the above will be available to make the matchday squad this weekend when City entertain Premier League Ipswich Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the CBS Arena, they’re all scheduled to return in the coming days and weeks.

Winger Mason-Clark is closest to a comeback and may be available for the bench against QPR next Tuesday. Providing an injury update on the three players, Lampard said: “Ephron is back in training with us and being filtered back into it. He probably needs a little bit more training as a bulk to be really ready to start games, but he’s with us, so he’s not far away.”
As for the leading scorer Wright and skipper Sheaf, he added: “Haji, we’re hoping he’ll be integrating with us towards the end of next week, slowly, and then we’ll see after that.
“And Ben Sheaf is probably on a similar trajectory to Haji really, in terms of we hope he’ll be back in next week and start of the following week.
“So we know we’ve got players coming back pretty soon, big players for us that we’ve been missing for a while now. So they will be effectively new signings, new input for this season, which is which is really good for us.”
