Fresh Aston Villa transfer link emerges with exciting winger who is a 'great talent'
Aston Villa have been credited with an interest in FC Copenhagen winger Roony Bardghji ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window. The teenager spent time in the Copenhagen academy before breaking into the first team in 2021 and, despite still only being 19, he has racked up 78 appearances in that time.
In November 2023, when Copenhagen dramatically prevailed 4-3 in a frantic Champions League clash with Manchester United, Bardghji popped up and scored an 87th minute winner in the Danish capital - that was one of the 15 goals he has delivered for Copenhagen in the first-team.
Bardghji, who made his senior debut just after he turned 16, has suffered a setback, though; he hasn't played since April of last year because of a cruciate ligament injury which has required months and months of rehabilitation and recovery. He could make his return in the coming weeks, however.

Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup has previously described Bardghji as a 'great talent' who he has backed to hit similar heights upon his highly anticipated return from injury, and in doing so inevitably attract interest from the big clubs on the continent.
Villa, who were busy in January, have been linked with a move. The Lions have tapped into the European market to source young talent in recent windows, namely Kosta Nedeljkovic and Yasin Ozcan, the latter who will link up with the squad when he leaves Turkish side Kasimpasa in the summer.
It wouldn't be a surprise, then, for Villa - who brought in Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio to flesh out their attacking options before the winter window closed - to be aware of Bardghji's exploits and abilities, even if he has been on the unfortunate end of a lengthy process which has kept him sidelined for almost 10 months.
