'Our fuel' - Lisandro Martinez makes Manchester United pledge after Liverpool draw
Defender Lisandro Martinez has said the level of fighting spirit Manchester United's players produced in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Liverpool "must be our fuel" to take the club forward.
United produced their best performance of the Ruben Amorim era to earn themselves a point against the Premier League leaders at Anfield.
Despite seeing Martinez's opener wiped out by goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah, United hit back with ten minutes left, striking through Amad, who converted Alejandro Garnacho's low cross to spark pandemonium in the away end.

United were excellent for long periods of the game, defending aggressively and being very neat and tidy when they had the ball. They also created several chances that on another day would have seen them leave Anfield with their first victory on the red half of Merseyside since 2016.
United's players now know they have set themselves a standard that they must consistently reach. And Martinez has insisted the spirit and togetherness he and his teammates produced at Anfield must be used as a catalyst to turn their fortunes around.
Martinez posted on Instagram: "We have much to improve, and we will, but this fighting spirit and playing with pride for this badge must be our fuel. Thank you to the travelling fans for their support."
Speaking in his post-match press conference, head coach Amorim spoke of the need to "shock" his players, insisting everyone at United has got into the habit of being "too comfortable".
"I'm trying that [motivation] every day," Amorim said. "I'm trying to push this team every day, sometimes it's maybe not the best way, I am always challenging these players in everything I do because I feel we are, not just the players, but everybody at Manchester United is too comfortable.
"So I think sometimes we need a shock, and you can see today we were a different team. It was not about the system, it was about the way we faced the competition. I think it's a very good sign."
