Fulham vs Tottenham LIVE!

Rodrigo Muniz scored twice as Tottenham missed out on the chance of moving into the Premier League top four after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Victory would have meant Ange Postecoglou's side moved a point ahead of Aston Villa but the north Londoners instead finish the weekend in fifth.

Muniz's double took his top-flight tally to seven goals in his last seven appearances on a day where the Cottagers shone in west London.

Sasa Lukic scored his first goal of the season as Marco Silva's side bounced back from last week's 2-1 defeat by Wolves at Molineux.

Silva gets better of Postecoglou as Cottagers crowbar Spurs open

19:46 , Marc Mayo

Tottenham were blown away by Fulham in a 3-0 win for the Cottagers on Saturday evening.

Rodrigo Muniz scored twice, either side of a rare Sasa Lukic strike, to put a dent in Spurs’ top-four ambitions on a night when Ange Postecoglou’s gameplan was willfully crowbarred open by his opponent.

Spurs player ratings: Defensive duo exposed as Dragusin struggles

19:37 , Marc Mayo

Radu Dragusin 5

Was accurate and composed on the ball, but lost Muniz at the vital moment as Fulham edged in front — and you fancy Micky van de Ven may well have dealt with the cross that made that goal. Looked a little leggy by the end of his full debut.

Rodrigo Muniz claims the official Man of the Match award, just as Timo Werner lashes a shot over the bar.

“Can we play you every week?” sing the Fulham fans.

That won’t happen but there’s seven minutes of added time left for them to enjoy it, at least.

And Harry Wilson has a go at making it four... parried well by the keeper.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 87 mins

19:16 , Marc Mayo

No sign of any late heroics for Spurs, Calvin Bassey and Antonee Robinson combining to deprive Heung-min Son of a chance to cut the deficit.

Dejan Kulusevski next to pop up in the box and Richarlison lashes his lay-off wide.

The visitors have been really, really far off their usual standards today. Giovani Lo Celso next to come on, for Son.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 85 mins

Joao Palhinha bombs forward but tumbles under Rodrigo Bentancur’s challenge on the edge of the box. Not enough in it for a foul.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 80 mins

19:09 , Marc Mayo

Brennan Johnson booked for dissent and Fulham are about to make a triple change.

Harrison Reed, Bobby De-Cordova Reid and Kenny Tete are to be introduced by Marco Silva. Timothy Castagne, Sasa Lukic and Alex Iwobi depart.

Johnson first comes off for Spurs, Richarlison on.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 77 mins

19:06 , Marc Mayo

The atmosphere is a little flat at Craven Cottage now, Fulham fans comfortably sat back and content in the moment with the Tottenham end stunned into silence.

The visitors have barely got going at all tonight.

Spurs have well and truly wilted.

Andreas Pereira, who picked up a knock earlier in the half, gets an early bath. On comes Harry Wilson.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 69 mins

Now Timo Werner misses a sitter at the far-post! He just never fully committed his body to it and the connection was poor.

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

18:57 , Marc Mayo

Absolutely woeful defending from Spurs, but Fulham are now 3-0 up in this London derby and comfortably sat in dreamland.

Muniz stabs home, and now he’s replaced after an excellent shift and having just got caught by Dragusin on the line upon scoring his second.

What a display from him, what a day to forget for Tottenham.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 68 mins

18:57 , Marc Mayo

CHANCE!

Heung-min Son drills a cross into the six-yard box and Brennan Johnson barely gets a bootlace on it as he shoots wide. Probably offside, in any case.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 67 mins

18:56 , Marc Mayo

Triple change by Ange Postecoglou - it’s a surprise it’s taken so long for him to make a change.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur and Timo Werner replace Pape Sarr, James Maddison and Yves Bissouma.

GOAL DISALLOWED!

18:54 , Marc Mayo

Joao Palhinha thinks he’s made it four... but the flag is up!

Raul Jimenez is offside as the shot comes in and it just nicks off him.

Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | 63 mins

18:52 , Marc Mayo

Rodrigo Muniz’s night is over, Marco Silva likely doesn’t see the need in risking him after that knock.

Raul Jimenez gets half an hour on his return from injury.

Before that, Yves Bissouma was booked for Spurs.

GGGGGOOOOAAALLLL!!!! Fulham 3-0 Tottenham | Muniz, 61'

18:49 , Marc Mayo

FULHAM GO THREE UP!

From the corner, Calvin Bassey controls on the spin and thumps the post... but the ball lands back in the six-yard box for Rodrigo Muniz to turn home.

A chunky challenge from Radu Dragusin arrives late, which hurts the striker, yet he doesn’t care as he eventually gathers himself to reap the applause of the home fans!

Joao Palhinha takes his customary yellow card, for chopping James Maddison. That’s his 12th of the league season!

The card was even out with the England midfielder still rolling...

A deep free-kick picks out Radu Dragusin - but he’s offside and then heads lamely into touch anyway.

Fulham 2-0 Tottenham | 53 mins

18:42 , Marc Mayo

A delay as Andreas Pereira receives treatment. Perhaps he twisted his ankle when battling for the ball with Yves Bissouma.

Let’s see if he can run it off.

Watch Sasa Lukic goal in Fulham vs Tottenham

Did he mean it?!

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

18:39 , Marc Mayo

A crucial second goal from Fulham as Sasa Lukic scores his first for the club off his knee — smart finish — and for Spurs a nightmare score now.

Difficult to come from 2-0 down at the best of times, but Fulham have been excellent in recent weeks and are unlikely to give it up lightly.

No return to fourth place for Spurs as it stands.

GGGGOOOOAAALLLL!!! Fulham 2-0 Tottenham | Lukic, 49'

18:38 , Marc Mayo

A LOVELY TOUCH FROM SASA LUKIC TURNS A CROSS HOME!

That’s his first Fulham goal!

Fulham 1-0 Tottenham | 47 mins

18:35 , Marc Mayo

It’s Fulham out the blocks fastest and a corner is cleared, before they come again via Alex Iwobi and Andreas Pereira.

Guglielmo Vicario grabs the Brazilian’s whipped cross before a Fulham attacker can tap home.

Kick-off!

18:33 , Marc Mayo

Former England cricketer Jack Russell is doing a painting of the stadium from the back of the new Riverside Stand in perhaps the most ‘Fulham’ moment of a football match ever.

Down on the pitch, there are no changes as we restart.

Watch Rodrigo Muniz goal in Fulham vs Tottenham

18:28

A lovely finish but an even lovelier cross!

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

18:24 , Marc Mayo

Half-time, Fulham in the lead, and it’s a lead they thoroughly deserve.

It’s true that Spurs somewhat recovered from a passive start to grow into that first 45, but Fulham were the best team in possession throughout it and got their reward shortly before the break with Rodrigo Muniz’s fine goalscoring form continuing thanks to an excellent piece of control and then mean finish.

For Tottenham, it needs to be a whole lot better in the second half if they’re to turn this deficit into a comeback win.

Fulham good value for their lead

18:20 , Marc Mayo

The Cottagers seemed to have Spurs’ number early on but their efforts were met with a number of blocks from visiting defenders.

Tottenham came back into it and saw a couple of half chances go begging but it’s been subpar from Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Marco Silva’s gameplan in attack certainly has them worried and it was not too much of a surprise to see Rodrigo Muniz pop up late in the half to break the deadlock.

Half-time!

Fulham 1-0 Tottenham | 45 mins

18:17 , Marc Mayo

Fulham fancy a second here, as Destiny Udogie fells Timothy Castagne trying to make up for a missed tackle.

Two added minutes set before the free-kick comes in.

Cleared, if a little scrappily.

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

18:15 , Marc Mayo

Stunning goal from Rodrigo Muniz and a huge one for Fulham. 6 goals in his last 7. Fulham have some player here and he’s only 22. May only get better.

Surely a Brazil call-up in June is on the cards?

GGGGOOOOAAALLLL!!! Fulham 1-0 Tottenham | Muniz, 42'

18:13 , Marc Mayo

RODRIGO MUNIZ!

Fulham’s best attacks have been of the straightforward variety tonight and Antonee Robinson delivers a superb cross from the left flank, which the Brazilian finishes off calmly.

VAR wants a look... onside!

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 41 mins

18:12 , Marc Mayo

Timothy Castagne bumps James Maddison to concede a free-kick and Spurs play it short, rather than loading the box, before eventually losing it.

Heading towards a low-key end to the half.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 35 mins

18:06 , Marc Mayo

From zero shots in 25 minutes to four in the last ten, Spurs have improved as we enter the final runnings of the half.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 32 mins

18:03 , Marc Mayo

CLOSE!

James Maddison collects Destiny Udogie’s cutback and goes early, aiming at the near-post...

Bernd Leno is beaten but the ball rolls just the wrong side of his post, from a Spurs perspective.

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

18:02 , Marc Mayo

This match has become a bit fraught and stretched in recent minutes, with both sides fashioning decent chances.

It has, though, become a slightly more even contest too, with Spurs seeing more of the ball and starting to press with a little more intensity when they’re out of possession.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 30 mins

18:00 , Marc Mayo

Half a chance for Radu Dragusin after Cristian Romero powers a header into the box.

It’s basically a through-ball but the Romanian doesn’t want to shoot and it’s a bit of a shot-cross that beats everybody - and the far-post.

Romero looks to have a knock but will continue.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 28 mins

17:58 , Marc Mayo

Slick build-up by Pape Sarr and James Maddison leads to Brennan Johnson trying to sweep the ball in at the far-post, but it’s poorly hit and Bernd Leno holds on.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 25 mins

17:56 , Marc Mayo

The game has opened up a little bit now and Fulham push forward with another fast breakaway, before Willian shoots tamely straight at the keeper.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 24 mins

17:55 , Marc Mayo

CHANCE!

Antonee Robinson bombs down the left flank and his cross evades Rodrigo Muniz’s cross.

Up the other end and Heung-min Son slices a rather good opening over the bar, from just inside the box.

Either team could be one up!

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 23 mins

17:54 , Marc Mayo

It’s not been the most thrilling first-quarter of a Premier League game, I’ll be honest.

Marco Silva will be the happier of the managers but Spurs will surely improve, can they score before then?

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

17:51 , Marc Mayo

Could easily have been a booking for Castagne after the Belgian was late on Maddison with a challenge he didn’t need to make.

“Come on Fulham”, chant the home fans, encouraged by their side’s beginning to this match.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 18 mins

17:49 , Marc Mayo

Still no shots for Spurs at this point, compared to four for Fulham.

Destiny Udogie looks to force something down the left wing yet the hosts are back to clear smoothly.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 15 mins

17:46 , Marc Mayo

It’s pretty much all Fulham right now with lots of threat coming down both flanks.

Willian loops a deep cross which Alex Iwobi returns, but he fails to find a man.

Spurs look to get on the ball to calm things down.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 12 mins

17:42 , Marc Mayo

CHANCE!

Alex Iwobi slips in down the right and delivers a fine low cross, which reaches Andreas Pereira and demands a close-range block by Cristian Romero to repel.

Fulham come back and force a near-post save from Guglielmo Vicario.

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

17:40 , Marc Mayo

Fulham playing some really good stuff here — picking the sensible pass, with a man always free to receive. Tottenham doing a lot of chasing so far.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 9 mins

17:39 , Marc Mayo

First Tottenham corner won down the left by Destiny Udogie and it’s worked back to James Maddison.

A nice little training ground routine as he almost picks out a head but instead it lands for Dejan Kulusevski, who runs into touch and bumps into Joao Palhinha for his trouble.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 7 mins

Rodrigo Muniz popping up in the Spurs box from a long ball over the top but Radu Dragusin is back impressively to mop up.

Dom Smith at Craven Cottage

Tottenham passing between themselves nicely, but all of a sudden Maddison loses the ball and Muniz and Pereira counter, with both shooting on goal. Two blocks save Spurs.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 3 mins

17:33 , Marc Mayo

CHANCE!

Ball given away by James Maddison and Fulham attack quickly, forcing blocks out of Cristian Romero and Yves Bissouma. Corner ball.

Fulham 0-0 Tottenham | 2 mins

17:32 , Marc Mayo

Radu Dragusin on the left side of central defence for Spurs, while Fulham have Willian on the left wing and Alex Iwobi wide out right.

Tottenham, in their dark blue away kit, enjoy some early possession.

Fulham vs Tottenham | Kick-off!

Fulham will stay 12th no matter what but will close the gap on the top half and European places with a win.

Spurs go fourth if they take all three points.

Ange Postecoglou hits out at 'plastic' fan worries

17:22 , Marc Mayo

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has addressed the widespread fan outrage over the incoming increase to season-ticket prices.

There are fears in the Spurs fanbase that those less affluent could be priced out, with tickets being bought more regularly by "tourists", or "plastic" fans.

Asked what type of supporters he wants in the stands, Postecoglou said: "I want Spurs supporters in the stand, mate - I don't just want anybody in there.

“I want people who are passionate about the football club. I want the stadium to reflect the attachment that they have.”

Asked if Premier League clubs were targeting foreign fans by increasing prices, Postecoglou on Friday told reporters: "See that's really harsh.

"I'll tell you why: Because I'm probably 'plastic' and 'tourist' because I was coming from the other side of the world really passionate about football and if I could get access to see a Premier League game, that was the world to me.

"This football club has supporters all over the world, has supporters all over the UK that don't always get access to the games of people who live here."

Chelsea loan fee now official

17:17 , Marc Mayo

Armando Broja being left out today means a loan clause between Fulham and Chelsea will be enacted after the Albanian’s January move.

The Cottagers agreed to pay Chelsea £4million if he failed to make ten starts before the end of the season, something which he is now destined to do.

Should he have become a regular at Craven Cottage, the loan would have been free.

Tottenham summer transfer plans taking shape

17:06 , Marc Mayo

Ange Postecoglou has revealed Tottenham are already working hard to sign another new centre-back in the summer transfer window.

“If you’re saying, ‘Is it an area we can strengthen?’, yes it’s an area we will probably look at”, the Tottenham manager said.

“With all these things, it’s about trying to strengthen the group as much as anything else. If you think about when I first arrived, we had maybe six or seven centre-backs at the club. So it’s not just numbers. It’s more about the ability of those players to play the football we want and to fit in to what we’re trying to build here.”

Patience pays off as Spurs ace finally gets chance

16:49 , Marc Mayo

There cannot have been a seemingly more impactful substitution this season than Radu Dragusin’s introduction at Aston Villa last weekend.

The Tottenham newcomer replaced Micky van de Ven shortly after half-time with the game still goalless. Within a minute, Spurs had scored, and three minutes after that, they were two up, Ange Postecoglou’s side going on to win 4-0 and boosting their chances of a top-four Premier League finish at Villa’s expense.

In reality, Spurs’s second-half rally had relatively little to do with Dragusin, but it was nonetheless an encouraging performance by the January signing from Genoa.

Ahead of Radu Draguin’s full debut, our reporter Dan Kilpatrick took a look at his quiet start to life in north London.

Raul Jimenez is back for Fulham this evening, as Marco Silva confirmed in his pre-match press conference.

He said: "Good news. Everyone is available. All the players can be involved."

Well that’s alright then!

What Ange Postecoglou said on his Spurs team selection

16:06 , Marc Mayo

Radu Dragusin should get his first Tottenham start today with Micky van de Ven out of action.

Ange Postecoglou said: “Micky, nothing too significant. He’ll miss tomorrow. But we’re quite confident if the recovery goes well, and with the international break, he shouldn’t miss too much more.

“I think he came off at the right time to be honest. So while he misses tomorrow, it’s still positive.

“Richarlison trained today, so we’ll just see how he pulls up. If he pulls up okay, he’ll probably be available.”

Discussing Dragusin, Postecoglou added: “I’ll take the suspense out of it — he’ll start tomorrow. It’s a good opportunity for him. We signed him with a view [that] it was quite clear we were going to be short in that position.

“He’s had to be patient for his opportunity, but that’s not a surprise. Micky and [Cristian] Romero have been outstanding. I thought he was good when he came on the other day. He’s a pretty self-assured guy. I think he can bring something else to us as a team. He’s a very, very strong defender.”
