Tottenham Hotspur will be without several key players when they return to Premier League action against Nottingham Forest.

Spurs will make the trip to the City Ground to take on Forest in their Boxing Day clash as they aim to return to winning ways.

Ange Postecoglou's team were beaten 6-3 by Liverpool in their previous Premier League match and are currently in 11th place in the top flight. Victory against Forest would see them close the gap on the top four spots as they strive to qualify for Europe.

However, Postecoglou will be forced to name a Tottenham squad with several of his players on his sidelines through injury. Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero remain sidelined with hamstring injuries that forced Spurs to go with a makeshift centre-back pairing against Liverpool.

Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Ben Davies have also been unavailable in recent weeks with hamstring injuries, although Davies could return to the squad to face Forest. Guglielmo Vicario remains a long-term absentee after suffering an ankle injury which required the goalkeeper to undergo surgery.

Rodrigo Bentancur could return to the Tottenham squad for the first time since November after serving a seven-match ban by the FA. Mikey Moore could also return after suffering from a virus.
