Gabriel Agbonlahor takes shot at Leeds United as promotion verdict made
Ex-England striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Aston Villa are in for six points against Leeds United, should they get promoted back to the Premier League. Leeds currently sit top of the Championship table after 24 games, two points ahead of Sheffield United and three above Burnley.
Agbonlahor spent the entirety of his career, between 2005 and 2018, with Villa - apart from loan two loan spells at Watford and Sheffield Wednesday. He netted 87 times in just over 400 appearances.
The forward only played against Leeds twice in his 13 years as a professional. He came off the bench in both games and failed to taste victory against the Whites, with his side not scoring in those fixtures.

Speaking on talkSPORT's breakfast show on Monday morning, Agbonlahor stated that he would actually like to see the Elland Road side return to the Premier League. However, he believes that Aston Villa would be able to use the games to help them once again reach the Champions League.
“Do you know what, I actually would like them both to get promoted, Leeds, because you know teams get three points against Leeds," Agbonlahor said. "So it’d be nice for Villa to get six points next season, help them get back to the top four."
While Aston Villa did have the better of the Whites during their three-year return to the Premier League, they didn't claim a league double. The Birmingham-based side recorded three wins, two draws and a defeat in the six meetings.
