Gabriel Jesus' partner breaks silence after huge Arsenal injury blow
Gabriel Jesus' partner Raiane Lima has taken to social media following the news the Brazilian suffered an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
The 27-year-old was forced off in the 39th minute in Sunday's FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester United on Sunday. Jesus was caught holding his knee before staying down after a challenge on Bruno Fernandes.
After the game, Mikel Arteta admitted it was a 'big worry,' saying: "That's my feeling. He had to come off on a stretcher with a lot of pain, touching his knee. It's not looking good.

On Tuesday, the worst case scenario was confirmed by the club who released a statement. It read: "Further to being substituted during our match with Manchester United on Sunday, Gabriel Jesus has received extensive assessments, scans and specialist reviews which have confirmed that he has sustained an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
"Gabby will undergo surgery in the coming days and will soon begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme. We will continue to keep everyone updated with Gabby’s recovery, with everyone at the club fully focused on supporting Gabby to ensure he is back to full fitness as soon as possible." Jesus has now suffered a second serious knee injury since joining Arsenal and is unlikely to feature again until later this year."
Taking to Instagram, Raiane showed her support. Sharing Arsenal's update, she wrote: "I will always be here to support and wish you the best in life. It won't be long until you're back playing again, smiling on the pitch and doing what you love the most. Always count on me."
It is a bitter blow for Jesus who was starting to rediscover his form this season and was adding goals to his game. His injury may now force Arsenal to sign a new centre forward this month.
